Hamden Town Cleanup Day

We’re gearing up for Hamden's 200th birthday celebration, and we need YOUR help! Join us for a voluntary cleanup day on April 26th. We’ll be meeting at the covered bridge at 9 AM.
This year, we're teaming up with Delhi Tech’s SME program, who have adopted the one-mile stretch of Route 10 from the Town Hall to the Covered Bridge. Let’s work together to make Hamden shine!The Bicentennial Committee will be providing all the necessary supplies for volunteers. A big THANK YOU to the Catskill Watershed Corporation for their generous donation of supplies!

Join us for a weekend of fun for all ages—starting with a BICENTENNIAL PARADE on Saturday, July 12, 2025!
Floats, tractors, vintage vehicles, horses, carriages, bands, and community groups are all invited to take part in honoring our agricultural roots and baseball beginnings!
- Parade departs at 11 AM from the old train depot pull-out off Route 10
- Staging at 10:30 AM at Delaware Opportunities
- Trailers can be parked at the Hamden Highway Department (off Covert Hollow)
- No UTVs, per Delaware County Sheriff’s recommendation

Get ready for the Hamden Bicentennial Covered Bridge 5K on July 13, 2025! Celebrate Hamden’s 200th anniversary by participating in the town’s first-ever 5K race!
The race starts at 9:00 AM at the iconic Hamden Covered Bridge, with awards for top finishers in all age groups.
